What We Do
What? - When? - Why?
BCBCS has a reputation for being a busy church. At times we have been described as 'punching beyond our weight'. Of course, these are flattering descriptions at some levels, but busy and overstretched are not necessarily good places for a church to be. Over the past couple of years we have been on something of a journey, stopping a few things, adjusting others, bringing in some things new.
That journey continues...
Sunday Worship
Due to Covid-19 restrictions we are not currently meeting for services on a regular basis.
Watch out for more information
When we are able to meet, in what we now call 'Gathered Church', our services aim to meet the worshiping needs of a diverse and dynamic congregation. Sung worship tends to be a mixed bag of ancient, not quite so ancient, and more modern songs - in any service you're likely to find a great old hymn along with an up to date anthem. We try to be a multi-voice congregation as much as possible and so it is common to find different voices leading elements of our worship and preaching.
STILL WATERS HOUSE
Supported Accommodation
Still Waters House is our ministry tackling homelessness in our city. BCBCS runs a four bed house for men who have experienced homelessness. We accommodate and deliver support to enable the men to overcome the issues which led to them to such a difficult place in their lives.
Mid-week Activities
We're Rebuilding Our Programme.
Watch out for updates.
We're looking for new ways to enhance our gathering and more effective ways to serve our community. Watch this space...
